The Aeon Eagle is a large interstellar merchant ship designed specifically for support-free FDM printing. It’s ideal for gamers, with its default scale set to 32mm.
On the gaming table, the Aeon Eagle measures approximately 27 inches (70cm) long, 19 inches (49cm) wide, and 9 inches (23cm) high. The ship is built with modular space inside, perfect for intense battles and exciting boarding actions.
While my previous ship designs have focused on exterior hull modifications, the Aeon Eagle prioritizes a large, playable interior space. This design is ideal for ship combat and boarding missions, making it perfect for games like Core Space, 5 Parsecs From Home, Kill Team, and other Sci-Fi RPG and tabletop settings.
The Aeon Eagle is divided into two parts: an outer hull for the ship’s exterior and an inner hull for rooms, walls, and other interior features. This modular design allows you to easily change deck layouts and switch between the 28mm and 32mm interiors without altering the ship’s external appearance.
The base ship includes a 4-man cockpit, a small restroom, and a large cargo hold. At the front, there are two small rooms: one for the board computer and electronics and another empty room for storing valuables. The tail section houses two small reactor rooms. All rooms have doors that open, and the ship can be accessed via a retractable ramp at the rear.
28mm or 32mm – Rethinking Modularity
To accommodate both 28mm and 32mm scales without the need for two separate prints, the Aeon Eagle is designed with a universal outer hull and two interchangeable interiors. Print the outer and inner hull once, then print the two different interiors for each scale. This allows you to easily switch between scales as needed.
While the two interiors aren’t exactly the same due to space limitations, they are very similar, providing flexibility and adaptability for your gaming needs.

Cockpit Emergency Exit: An emergency exit in the cockpit for quick evacuation, featuring a floor door and ladder.
Captain’s Quarter: A private cabin for the captain, complete with personal furniture in a new 3-inch midship section.
2nd Floor Cryo Deck: Adds a second floor above the crew section, accessible by a ladder, with space for up to four cryo chambers.
